According to data released by Oklahoma state health officials Friday, the newest cases are in… – Stephens County (1 new case), which now has a total of 8 cases of COVID-19 – Pontotoc County, which reported 2 new cases Friday (now 7 total) – Bryan County, which reported its third positive case Friday Grayson County confirmed their 12th case Thursday afternoon, a Sherman resident in their 50s who is home in isolation. COunty health officials said they were in the process of identifying and contacting those who may have been exposed. Two additional cases were reported in Lamar County Thursday, where county health officials say 191 people remain monitored under self-quarantine. The Grayson County Health Department confirmed Wednesday three additional positive cases of COVID-19 within Grayson County, making 11 cases total in the county. Grayson County Health Department Director Amanda Ortez said Wednesday afternoon the latest patient is a Tioga resident over the age of 70 who had recently traveled outside the county. She did not say whether the patient is hospitalized. Ortez said Wednesday morning the two others are Bells residents in their 60’s and are hospitalized at a local hospital. Ortez announced the county’s eighth patient Tuesday, a Denison resident in their 60s, is hospitalized at a local hospital. All seven previous patients are also from Denison. The seventh patient is in their 70’s, had recently traveled, and is currently in home isolation, county health officials said Monday. The county’s second case is a person is in their fifties, with recent travel to the Dallas area, and its first is a person in their 40s who recently traveled. Both are in home isolation, along with everyone that lives with them. “The GCHD Public Health Emergency Preparedness team are identifying and contacting individuals who may have been exposed,” Ortez said. “Any individuals identified as having close contact and having been exposed will be contacted directly by the GCHD. ” Other Texas counties in the KXII viewing area reporting positive COVID-19 cases include Lamar (5) and Fannin (2) . Oklahoma counties with cases in the KXII viewing area now include Garvin (8), Stephens (8), Pontotoc (7), Love (2), Bryan (3), Atoka (1), Carter (1), and Choctaw (1).
